Morning Mist is berthed in Redwood City, CA, which is about 20 miles from San Francisco or 10 miles from San Francisco Airport. Embarkation can be either at Redwood City or downtown San Francisco. We suggest 3 night or 6 night charters.

The 3-night charter would consist of the first night near San Francisco's famous Fisherman's Wharf. Our stops would include Sausalito for wonderful tourist shopping; Angel Island, which is a California State Park and then cruise up the Sacramento River and Napa River thru the beautiful famous Napa Valley. A van will pick up our guests give them a wonderful tour of the beautiful vineyards, which will include wine tasting. We will overnight in Napa. We will then sail back to San Francisco to enjoy our Captain’s Farewell Dinner on board while berthed in San Francisco.

Our 6-day charter will consist of the above plus cruising on up the Sacramento River all the way to Sacramento, which will follow the famous historical Paddlewheel route from San Francisco to Sacramento with several stops along the way to visit these quaint and delightful river towns. We would anchor a couple of nights in beautiful secluded anchorages to provide a wonderful opportunity for Kayaking and exploring with the tender. For those so inclined, exhilarating ride on the WaveRunner or a tube ride behind the tender. We also keep a pair of water skis on board for use by our guests. We will then sail back to San Francisco to spend our final night and our Captains Farewell Dinner on board.

OWNER OPERATORS
CAPTAIN JACK & FIRST MATE TRICIA

Captain Jack Bell was born in Ontario, Canada but has been a citizen of the US since 1967. Captain Jack and his lovely wife Tricia are semi-retired from corporate life. The company they owned was a consortium of 1,200 travel agencies throughout the US and Canada.

Their work in the travel industry privileged them with being able to travel all over the world participating in seminars and meetings in many countries. They sold their company three years ago and are doing what they love, boating in the San Francisco Bay area.

Captain Jack and Tricia are great hosts who deliver fun filled, warm and pleasant charter experiences. The highlight of their summer is when their grandkids are on board and Jack takes them exploring in the tender. Captain Jack is a licensed Merchant Marine Captain. He is meticulous and conscientious about safety on board, and starts each charter with a brief safety lecture. He says “We have never had any close calls with guest safety.”

First Mate Tricia Bell’s duties at their company were to manage the office and staff and from time to time lead groups of travel agency owners to places like the Caribbean, Mexico and Alaska. Tricia was born in San Diego and attended college in San Francisco. Her greatest joy is taking our guests on shopping junkets in Victoria and other small towns we visit while cruising. She knows every specialty store and bargain along the way! Besides helping Captain Jack as First Mate with duties on the yacht, Tricia also assists Chef Mary in menu planning and recipe selections for each cruise. She is a fabulous cook herself - to see the proof, just look at Captain Jack’s waistline!

CHEF MARY
Chef Mary Polley has been aboard Morning Mist for several years. Mary is retired from being an office manager in Social Services for the state of California and has had many years of cooking for special groups. She now resides in Desert Hot Springs, CA.

Her warm personality and wonderful cooking skills adds to each charter. Her specialty is fabulous homemade desserts. Mary carefully reads the guest menu questionnaire forms before each cruise. She does a great job of making sure the guests have their favorite foods available during their charter.
