Captain STAN GLOVER / American

Stan began his Naval career as a firefighter ultimately training crew aboard Cruisers, Destroyers and Aircraft carriers as a Certified Instructor and team member of Afloat Training Group, Pearl Harbor Hawaii. Upon retiring from the Navy in 2006, Stan began his full time career in yachting. With Trans-Pacific, and Atlantic crossings on 47’ sailboats to 73 meter commercial vessels, his experience speaks volumes with over 200,000 miles at sea. Stan is known for a huge smile, and jovial charismatic attitude. Rest assured your experience aboard will be fabulous and unforgettable with this salty sailor at the helm.





Chief Stewardess RITA GLOVER / American

Rita Jean grew up in the southern city of New Orleans; she holds an Associate’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Sailing brought her to the ideal life style on the sea as she embarked on a Pacific crossing from San Diego to Hawaii; the experience of sailing the open ocean has embedded the knowledge and respect for the sea. Rita enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and is certified in Yoga, Pilates and spinning. An enthusiast of wine and travel Rita has ventured to far reaches of New Zealand, Costa Rica, Cuba, Hawaii, British Columbia, Alaska, Greece, Italy and France.


Chef LAURA ANN DEMOVICH / American

Chef Laura Ann’s passion for food is apparent in every dish that she creates. Her training at The Art Institute of Ft Lauderdale along with her vast time spent abroad combines to bring you an unforgettable dinning experience. Besides yachts, she has also spent time cooking in a few well know “farm to table” restaurants located in Ft. Lauderdale, FL which include 3030 Ocean & Market 17. Chef L.A. can cater to many special needs such as Paleolithic, vegan, gluten-free, and sugar-free. She enjoys spending her time scuba diving, traveling, and exploring her love for food. After tasting Chef L.A.’s creations, it’s easy to understand why she is an American Culinary Federation award-winning chef.


First Mate SEAN HARTEL/ American

Growing up in New Jersey and spending summers living aboard a sport-fish, Sean
developed a passion for boat life at a young age. He moved to Lake Tahoe at 17 and
pursued a career as a pro skier and coach. After a decade of life in the mountains, Sean
bought a sailboat in San Francisco and moved on to the next stage of adventure. Since
then, he’s voyaged over 30,000 miles as captain aboard his own vessels in Pacific,
Atlantic and Caribbean waters. Sean loves diving, fishing, power-sports and any other
outdoor activity, especially if it includes the thrill of traveling off the beaten path.



Second Stewardess MEGAN ANDERSON / American
PREVIOUS YACHTS: M/Y AMORAZUR, M/Y MAGIC DAYS, M/Y OUR WAY. M/Y STARSHIP
Megan was born and raised on a small town on the Mississippi River in Wisconsin. She
attended UW-River Falls where she double majored in Marketing Communications and
Business Administration. Soon after she moved to Portland, Oregon where she was
introduced to river boats and yachts. She has spent the last 6 years working on yachts
traveling through the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Bahamas, Central America, and three
summer seasons in Alaska. As the Second Stewardess Megan supports the chief stew
in housekeeping, guest service, and making memorable experiences for all guests on
board. She loves creating table settings and making your holiday comfortable, fun, and
memorable. In her spare time Megan enjoys running, yoga, learning about wine, and
traveling off the beaten path.


Engineer & Deckhand DEREK SWART/ American
Derek is a former IT Project Manager from Boston. Four years ago, he climbed Mt. Rainier
near Seattle Washington, and fell in love with the Pacific North West. He then left his
job, moved to Seattle to join the boating community, and never looked back. Derek has
been on several sail racing teams in Puget Sound and the surrounding waterways. Derek
has also chartered his own boat in Seattle named “Boat Tours Seattle”. He offered Boat
Tours, Sailing Lessons, fishing, and overnight trips. Derek has also sailed and raced the
waters of New England. Onboard SERENITY, Derek will assist the Captain with driving
and arranging guest activities such as fishing, hiking, and kayaking. He will also captain
the fishing boat. He holds both a 100 Ton Master Inland, and 50 Ton Master Near Coastal
Captain license. He is certified as an able body seafarer, First Aid/CPR, and also has his
mediation certification. In his spare time, Derek enjoys sailing, rock and ice climbing,
fishing, mountaineering, kayaking, and traveling.
