Captain: Jordan Wells
Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Captain Jordan started his maritime career at the age of 14 after spending his early years backpacking in the Olympic Mountains. First starting out as a deckhand aboard a whale watching boat and later moving onto his passion for luxury yachts. Captain Jordan enjoys all aspects of his job and strives to provide each guest with a memorable experience. This passion and desire has made Captain Jordan active in his career on the water for many years and is sure to provide you with the best possible experience. Working on several different yachts over the years has given Jordan the opportunity to explore the Pacific from Alaska to Costa Rica and many different areas in Southeast Asia. With a desire for travel and adventure Captain Jordan has made the M/Y Shogun his home and life. His devotion to M/Y Shogun and his love for the sea confirms that your time aboard will be an exceptional trip and the time of your life. Jordan has spent 7 summers in SE Alaska. His passion and hobbies revolve around the water and the boat, fly fishing, photography, and golf. Jordan holds a USCG 500 GRT ITC Masters Ticket and medical training, he calls Seattle, WA home, and absolutely loves being a captain and cruising Alaska waters!







Chief Stewardess: Catherine Wright
Catherine was born in the small town of Huntington, West Virginia. Moving to Key West, Florida after college, she worked on a sailboat doing snorkel/sunset trips on the weekends and managed restaurants and waited tables during the week.
After 5 years a friend suggested to her that she join the yachting world. She fell in love with it. Working as a chief stewardess gives her a special satisfaction she never experienced in restaurants. Over the past five years she has traveled extensively aboard yachts. Her yachting experience includes working in New England, Southern California, the Bahamas, the Caribbean Islands, and the Mediterranean. Catherine's passions include wine, snorkeling,sailing, reading, and traveling. She is looking forward to providing you the very best aboard M/Y Shogun.







Chef: Daniel Wright
Dan was born in Lawrenceville, Georgia, and after moving all over the world to places like the Philippines, Mexico and Louisiana his family settled in southern Ohio. Upon graduating from The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York in 2001 he became the executive chef at "Savannah's Restaurant" in Huntington, West Virginia at the age of 22, and brought upscale world flavors to this small restaurant housed in a 100 year old Victorian home. Getting the wanderlust bug he then moved to Key West, Florida and worked at "Louie's Backyard", under executive chef Doug Shook, learning South Floridian cuisine with ocean to table cuisine. This upscale restaurant exposed him to amazing seafood in a sustainable manner. In June of 2008 Daniel decided to advance his career and embarked upon the world of luxury yachts. Becoming a private chef on board yachts has allowed him to build confidence in his cuisines and learn the ability to change and adapt at a moments notice, as well as the skill to shop and source ingredients in far reaches of the Caribbean or Alaskan waters. He is very down to earth and loves a good joke and cooking for guests and creating a truly unforgettable vacation.






First Officer: Chase Edwards
Chase was born and raised in Winter Park, Florida. Chase's first boat at the age of four was a trick boat made for ski shows, and what began as a hobby has led to a career in yachting. From racing jet-skis in high school, joining the sailing team at the University of South Florida, and now racing outrigger canoes in the ocean off the coast of California and Hawaii while completing his Masters Degree in Business, Chase has always been on the water. With an extensive background in hospitality both from the private club industry to serving guests aboard mega yachts, First Officer Chase strives to provide the guests with the highest level of service and fun. Whether you are looking for a unique and thrilling experience or a relaxing trip of a lifetime Chase is guaranteed to be your ultimate host!



  2nd Stewardess: Tara Manley
Tara was born in the Midwest where she grew up enjoying summers on her grandfather's boat doing water sports and fishing. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with degrees in International Relations and Spanish and a teaching certificate from I.T.C. in Barcelona, Spain. While living and teaching in Costa Rica, she met her husband and began helping him on the sport fish that he captained. They made the move from sport fish to yachting together, and have had the opportunity to travel throughout the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Latin America, U.S. and Southeast Asia. Her yachting education includes the STCW '95, Stewardess Master Course, and Introductory Sommelier Course. She is currently based out of San Diego, where her and her husband bought their first home, a 34ft San Juan sailboat. She is looking forward to making your adventure on M/Y Shogun comfortable and enjoyable.
